Combustion processes are inherently hazardous because one is
mixing a fuel with air under conditions where, if appropriate
precautions are not taken, an explosion could occur. A burner
management system imposes constraints upon the lighting-up process
which aim to ensure that such an explosion does not occur.
Specifications exist for the design of burner management systems,
such as British Gas IM/30 and its successors and the corresponding
NFPA equivalents. Rowan House Ltd has extensive experience of the
use of these specifications to design burner management systems.
Rowan House Ltd can also convert the design into hardware and
provide a seamless design and build operation for such burner
management systems.
