Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmospheres Regulations (DSEAR) ( EU directives ATEX 95 & 137):
EU ATEX Directives 95 & 137 and their implementation in Europe and the UK is a requirement since July 2003.
The directive ATEX 95 Equipment and Protective Systems, (for use in Potentially Explosive Atmospheres), is implemented in the UK under The Equipment and Protective Systems Intended for Use in Potentially Explosive Atmospheres Regulations (1996 amended 2001) and ATEX 137 Safety of Workers (in Potentially Explosive Atmospheres) is implemented in the UK under the (DSEAR).
