HAZOP Training

Rowan House Ltd complement our extensive range of HAZOP study services by also offering training courses to support such safety work.

We can offer training in many safety areas such as BS EN 61508 (and its related guidance standards such as IEC61511), ATEX (including DSEAR for the UK) as well as in HAZOP. Our HAZOP training services can offer courses in:

• HAZOP study for participants. This course is for operators and technicians to introduce the HAZOP study process and methodology to them so that time is not lost at the start of HAZOP meetings explaining the process to new team members. Those who have attended this course also benefit from a proper understanding of how to respond to their recommended actions arising from the study.
• Advanced HAZOP study for chairs and secretaries. This course goes into the HAZOP study process in detail and gives time for the participant to experience chairing a HAZOP study meeting. Chairing techniques are covered as well as some of the less well known requirements for HAZOP studies.
• HAZ 15 08 study for participants. The aim and the content of this course is the the same as the HAZOP study course for participants above. This course additionally covers risk assessment systems appropriate for inclusion in a HAZOP study as well as the HAZOP study process itself.
• Advanced HAZ 15 08 study for chairs and secretaries. The aim and the content of this course is the the same as the Advanced HAZOP study course above. This course additionally covers risk assessment systems appropriate for inclusion in a HAZOP study as well as the HAZOP study process itself with a detailed look at using recommending actions to minimise the impact of 61508 and minimising the size and complexity of safety instrumented systems.
