SIS Maintenance and Management

COURSE:

This is a two day course for unit Operational Management, Electrical/ Instrument Engineers that are involved with the functional testing and maintenance of Safety Instrumented Systems providing Risk Reduction to People / Environment associated with operating unit.

This is an important course because achieving the 'life time' SIL requirements of the SIS is achieved by cost effective maintenance which requires a design that enables the systems to be integrated into management of functional safety.

AIM:

To provide the knowledge to enable the participants to specify correctly the functional requirements and to verify the design of Safety Instrumented Systems to ensure it meets the required proof testing and maintenance specification. To provide the knowledge to enable a management of functional safety to be established which includes; proof testing, maintenance, non-conformance reporting and change control which meets the principle of IEC 61508 / IEC 61511 at a life time economical cost.
